2026 KTM 450 SX-F

The 2026 KTM 450 SX-F features minor updates, including new graphics, a revised radiator cap, and enhanced durability for the wiring harness. The main technical specifications remain largely consistent with the previous model, building on the significant frame and suspension updates seen in the 2025 version. 

Key features

• Powertrain: The bike is powered by a 449.9cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke SOHC engine with a 5-speed transmission. KTM continues to focus on maximizing usable power throughout the rev range, particularly in the mid-range and when exiting corners.
• Chassis and ergonomics: The chromoly steel frame has strategic cutouts and engine mount adjustments for improved flex, rider feedback, and anti-squat behavior. The new model sports a black frame and a black seat cover, along with sleeker radiator shrouds for improved rider movement.
• Suspension: It is equipped with a 48mm WP XACT AER air fork and a WP XACT monoshock with linkage. Both feature tool-free adjustability for compression and rebound. For 2026, the suspension has been fine-tuned for better bottoming resistance and overall progressiveness.
• Electronics and software: The handlebar-mounted map switch allows riders to toggle between two distinct engine maps and activate traction control. Standard features include a Quickshifter for clutchless upshifts and Launch Control for powerful starts.
• Connectivity: The bike is compatible with the optional Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO), which works with the KTMconnect app. The CUO allows riders to fine-tune engine characteristics and suspension settings via their smartphone. 

What's new for 2026

• Graphics: The 2026 model receives a fresh "very orange" graphics package with shades of purple and blue on the tank spoilers and fork guards.
• Radiator cap: A new threaded radiator cap is designed for easier and faster opening.
• Fuel connector cap: A new protection cap for the CPC fuel connector increases durability and prevents dirt from entering.
• Wiring harness: For enhanced reliability, the wiring harness routing and fixing points have been modified. 

Comparisons

Because the 2026 model receives only minor updates, it remains very similar to the 2025 standard edition, which received the major frame and suspension revisions previously introduced on the 2024 Factory Edition. The most significant changes for 2026 are cosmetic and focused on minor reliability improvements, like the new connector cap. The Factory Edition, which will likely be announced later in the year, is expected to receive more substantial changes
