1. Engine and drivetrain: The 2026 model features a new 999cc Rotax® ACE (Advanced Combustion Efficiency) triple-cylinder HD11 engine, which produces 95 horsepower and 70 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a redesigned pDrive primary clutch and Quick Response System X (QRS-X) CVT transmission for smoother shifting. The HD11 features selectable Turf Mode / 2WD / 4WD with a Quick-4Lok auto-locking front differential.
2. Infotainment: This model includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen display for navigation, controlling accessories, managing media, and viewing front and rear camera feeds. A smaller 4.5-inch digital display is also standard.
3. Cab and comfort: The MAX XT Cab provides all-season comfort with a sealed cab and a climate control system with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). The interior features adjustable driver and bolster bench seats and an adjustable steering wheel.
4. Utility and storage: With a towing capacity of 2,500 pounds and a 600-pound cargo box capacity (in non-California models), the Defender is built for demanding tasks. The MAX XT Cab comes standard with a 4,500-pound winch with a synthetic cable and a heavy-duty front bumper. The vehicle also includes ample storage compartments, including weather-resistant glove boxes and a removable under-seat storage bin.
5. Protection and suspension: The UTV is equipped with full-length skid plates, a heavy-duty front bumper, and a full hard roof. A new arched double A-arm suspension design with 12 inches of travel and stronger components provides improved handling and a quieter ride.
